You... had... me... at... HELLO! He snuck up behind me and waved a red spoon in front of my face.. I jumped out of my seat, so happy!
He pulled a pomegranate yogurt from his bag.... SURPRISE!
Boy, do you know the way to my heart!
Oh, I'm so GLAD he went to water polo tonight. I will now blissfully sit propped up in bed and eat my yogurt...slowly and gratefully!
For me, such delights are few and far between.
And THAT is why I love him!
I'd take yogurt over fresh flowers any day!!

HE hangs the Moon and Stars

He plays so hard. All day long. He goes non-stop. He jumps. He runs. He throws. He kicks. He climbs. He laughs. He sings. He plays make-believe. He screams. He licks(?) He has so much energy. Too much energy. I get exhausted just watching him...

... But at night ... he sleeps. Like an angel. Safe and sound. Not a care in the world. He rests. I watch him. I marvel at how much LOVE I have for him. How he's changed my life. Forever. I put myself to bed. I rest. I restore my energy. For tomorrow...
. . . For tomorrow it begins all over again.

"I can wear LIPSTICK whatever I can do!!"

When Madison was a baby, a tiny baby, she loved "lip-tuff" (lip gloss, lipstick, Chapstick) Didn't matter...whatever you had, she wanted some. In fact one of the first things she could say was "I want lip-tuff" The girl LOVED "lip-tuff."
Once, she was being teased and frustrated she shouted, "I CAN WEAR "LIP-TUFF" WHATEVER I CAN DO!!!!" (translation: I can do whatever I want!) We all laughed hysterically! And we've used that phrase OVER and OVER.

Me, I'm not much of a lipstick girl. I've always considered myself a tomboy. Growing up, all I ever wanted to do was tag along with my brothers and get dirty. I'm not very fancy and prefer to be in jeans and a t-shirt and flip flops. My daily uniform.

There are definitely lipstick girls...and then there are lip gloss girls and I'm even below them... I'm a Chapstick girl.

A little tiny part of me has always wondered, "Could I wear lipstick, could I pull it off?" and "What about red?"

I'm not very brave but I've always thought red lips are so gorgeous. And I AM older now...but am I old enough? Or am I too old? Will I look ridiculous?

About the time I was having these crazy thoughts my sister e-mailed me and said that if I ordered a lipstick from Mary Kay in the month of February....

...It's a sign, that's all I had to read. I wrote her back and asked her to order me the BEST red lipstick she had.

And I love it!
Not on an everyday basis.
But I can definitely rock the red lips for a special occasion.

This is me and I'm actually on the phone with my sister talking about lipstick. Crazy, huh?

Proving ... once and for all ...that like Madison...

I CAN WEAR "LIP-TUFF" WHATEVER I CAN DO!!!!!

Oh, and black patent leather high-heels...

I can do that too!!

You've won!!

(Because this post needed a random picture...this particular picture)

Mom, Jerolyn, Marilyn, Jill, and Lizzie:

I'm sure you're totally excited to see what I'll be making for you...

I've got some pretty great ideas like.... HMMMM, I wonder if this person would like a crocheted bikini?... or Maybe they'll like something decoupaged?... or Maybe I could make them one of those decorated straw hats, kinda like the one Erin brought to the Christmas party?... Oh this is going to be good!!

Alright ... I'm just joking, I promise my homemade treats won't be junk... at least I won't think they are...

Maybe I'll actually try out some of my "mad homemaking skills" and make you something useful or practical... or I've got some homemade goodie tricks up my sleeve and I'll deliver something edible and delicious.... I'm all for suggestions even though I can't guarantee you'll get what you want!!!

It'll be a surprise... and even though I've got practically a whole year, I'm going to get started!!!

T-Ball, Spring, and Curly Girls

T-ball started on Saturday for Karley and Paige. Karley was excited, Paige not so much...but she got talked into it. They set out an extra Tee and Scott was ALL OVER THAT!! I think we have a future ball player on our hands .... and a left-handed one at that!!

Saturday night I put the girls hair in foam rollers. Since their hair is so much shorter since they got haircuts I was worried the curlers wouldn't stay in. They both looked so adorable in curls, I'll have to do it more often.

This is the outfit Paige put on to go to Grandma's. The fur cape definitely completes the LOOK!

Kris' tree looked so beautiful on Sunday.
Welcome SPRING!
Paige's toothless grin.

Karley, cool as a cucumber.
